Priceline.com announced enhancements to its proprietary search engine for airline tickets.

The enhancements to Priceline's TripFilter advanced search technology are designed to help consumers easily comb through Priceline's rich database of ticket information and find the exact itinerary, seat and price that is right for them.

Customers searching for airline tickets on Priceline.com now can view easy-to-read seat maps and reserve the seat they want. Or, they can give their preference for an aisle, window or middle seat and let Priceline.com choose the seat for them. For almost-sold-out flights, the TripFilter technology also lets customers know how many tickets are left at a particular price.

"TripFilter(TM) enhances Priceline.com's ability to satisfy a wide range of customers with very different travel needs," said Igor Zhuk, Vice President, Revenue Management of Priceline.com's airline tickets product. "It also simplifies some otherwise complex search algorithms, empowering customers to cut to the chase and, in seconds, zero in on the airline ticket that best meets their travel needs."
