Executive members of Shangri-La Pazhou's opening team in Guangzhou are being added to prepare for the hotel's planned launch at the end of 2006.

The Shangri-La Pazhou has announced the appointment of Andreas Hoehne as Executive Chef. Prior to joining the pre-opening team of Shangri-La Pazhou, Guangzhou, Hoehne held the same position with Shangri-La Hotel, Shenzhen. He has over 10 years of experience as an Executive Chef from work experience on 3 continents and 20 years of culinary experience since graduating from the prestigious chef’s school in Germany.

Frank Zhang will be the hotel's new Director of Human Resources. Zhang joined Shangri-La Hotels and Resort as Human Resources Manager in 1994. Zhang has more than 18 years of experience working in this field, and started his career as training supervisor in 1988 in his native Beijing. He acquired his human resource acumen in various positions and companies in Beijing before joining Shangri-La Hotels and Resort in 1994 where he worked in the Shangri-La Hotels in Shenzhen, Wuhan, Beijing and Zhongshan.
