Crowne Plaza Shenzhen has appointed Christian Buggelsheim as the hotel's new Director of Food and Beverage.

Buggelsheim has almost 14 years of experience in the hospitality industry in Europe, America and Asia. Prior to joining Crowne Plaza Shenzhen, he worked in Hard Rock Hotel & Spa Bali, Indonesia and Radisson SAS Hotel Kuwait. He also worked in Bermuda, Maldives, and his home country Austria.

He won the Gold Medal at National Food competition in Austria when he was 18. After obtaining several awards for food competitions in Austria, he moved to Bermuda where he continued to win at the Master Chef cook off in 1997; the Gold medal by the Taste of Bermuda for the same year; the Winner of the Chaine des Rotisseurs hot food competition in Bermuda in 1998; Gold medal and Winner of the Master Chef Cook-Off Semifinals in Bermuda (Hot Food Competition) and Silver medal with Bermuda National Culinary Team in Miami/Florida in 1999.
