According to Civil Aviation Administration of China, Chongqing will stop using paper air tickets and replace them with e-tickets from October 1.

A representative from Chongqing Jianbei Airport says that the replacement of paper tickets with e-tickets will help them save much as RMB160 million each year.

Many airlines, including Sichuan Airlines, Air China and Hainan Airlines, say that they will use the money saved to improve the food service on their flights.
