Kempinski will soon land in Shanghai to manage a new luxury serviced apartment complex.

Kempinski has signed a contract with Empire Garden Shanghai, which will become a premier luxury serviced apartment complex under the Kempinski brand.

Reto Wittwer, president and CEO of Kempinski Hotels, has told local media the cooperation with Empire Garden is based on the recognition of the market potential in China and the expanding number of expat residences in Shanghai.

Zhang Guozheng, executive director and general manager of DTZ, says that there are about forty to fifty international serviced apartments in Shanghai, while only about ten of them have high quality management. He tells local media that the entry of Kempinski will surely promote the development of Shanghai's premier luxury serviced apartment complexes.
