The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street will open in October in the heart of the capital city's newly emerging financial district.
"We are very pleased to join with owners Financial Street Holding Co, Ltd in the development of The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street," said Simon F. Cooper, president and chief operating officer. "The proximity of so many world class companies and financial institutions will make the hotel both a convenient and prestigious address for corporate travelers."
A contemporary design of glass and chrome in the western part of the city, the hotel sits beside many banks, insurance companies and other financial-related businesses. Its location at the intersection of Taipingqiao Street and Jinchengfangdong affords business travelers easy access to Chang'an Avenue, while leisure travelers will find the renowned Forbidden City and various cultural landmarks within close proximity.
With 253 guest rooms starting from 50 square meters in size, each room features two sleek LCD televisions in the living room and bathroom offering a wide variety of news channels, sports, movies and entertainment programs. Guests of The Ritz-Carlton Club, the signature private section of the hotel accessible only by key access, will enjoy five complimentary food and beverage presentations throughout the day; a spectacular view of the classic Tibetan-style White Pagoda Temple as well as the services of a dedicated, multilingual concierge staff.
Dining facilities include three signature restaurants featuring all-day dining, Italian and Chinese cuisine; a lounge and bar. With 991 square meters of space, including a 504 square meters ballroom, divisible by three for flexibility, 200 square meters of pre-function area and three meeting rooms, the hotel will be a focal point for meetings and conferences.
The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street is the third luxury hotel in the company to open in China. From 2006 to 2010, the hotel group will add seven new locations in Asia. They include The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing, The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou, The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya, The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo and The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen, and a second hotel respectively in Hong Kong (Kowloon) and Shanghai (Pudong).
