Hong Kong Express Airways has received tapproval from China's Economic Development and Labor Bureau to operate additional scheduled services to five more cities in China.

The five new cities are Chengdu, Nanning, Wuhan, Jinan and Yantai. The Hong Kong-based airline already holds the rights to fly to six cities in Mainland China including those five to which it has launched services over the last year since its inauguration: Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Nanjing and most recently Chongqing.

Hong Kong Express Airways currently offers scheduled services connecting Hong Kong and Hangzhou, Ningbo, Nanjing and Chongqing in Mainland China, and Chiang Mai in Thailand.

The airline also operates scheduled daily charter flights to Taichung in Taiwan in conjunction with Mandarin Airlines, and Laoag in the Philippines.
