Six parks in China have been accredited by the Geopark Assessment Committee of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as World Level Geoparks.

These six Chinese parks are Taishan Mountain in Shandong Province, Wangwushan-Daimeishan Mountain in Henan Province, Leiqiong in Guangdong and Hainan Province, Fangshan in Beijing and Hebei Province, Jingpo Lake in Heilongjiang Province and Funiushan in Henan Province. They are among the third batch of geoparks to participate in the assessment.

Earlier, China's Yandangshan in Zhejiang Province, Keshiketeng from Inner Mongolia, Xingwen from Sichuan and Taining from Fujian were accredited as World Geoparks.
