Venetian Hotel & Casino, which is being jointly developed by Far East Consortium Intl Ltd and Las Vegas Sands, may have trouble with its opening.
Hong Kong media report that the two parties have different opinions on the model of the Venetian Hotel & Casino, thus Far East may quit the project.
Far East reportedly wanted to build the hotel into a 3-star hotel, while Las Vegas Sands intends to build it into a 5-star luxury hotel.
Qiu Dachang, vice president of Far East, has told local media that their final decision on this matter has not been achieved, but they may choose to give up the plan because they can not afford the huge expense needed for a 5-star level hotel.
The plans for building the Venetian Hotel & Casino had been scheduled to be started at the end of this year.
