Beijing Municipal Tourism Bureau and Japan Kyushu Tourism have signed the "Beijing – Kyushu Friendship Agreement" to help expand and promote the tourism cooperation and communication between these two cities.

Kyushu Tourism says it attaches great importance to the Chinese travel market so it has worked out a series of special promotions for the market. This includes last year's tourism presentation in Shanghai and this year's promotion in Guangzhou.

At their recent presentation in Beijing, Kyushu Tourism representatives introduced their student-oriented travel routes.

Kyushu is the area of Japan that is nearest to China. At present there are direct lines to Kyushu from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dalian, Qingdao, Shenyang, Xi'an and Chengdu.
