Viva Macau, a new Macau-based low cost airline, has signed a partnership agreement with Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Company for Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul services.

Commenting on the partnership, Viva Macau Chief Executive Andrew Pyne said, "The selection of a maintenance engineering provider is a critical decision for any airline. We chose GAMECO because they will be able to provide Viva Macau and our passengers with a high standard of safety practices, quality services and efficiency."

Under the terms of the partnership, GAMECO will provide Viva Macau with a Total Care Maintenance Fleet Technical Management program and an Inventory Technical Management program to provide spare parts for the Viva Macau Boeing 767 wide-body fleet.

Viva Macau has current commitments for two Boeing 767 wide-body aircraft that will form the backbone of its wide-body-only fleet as the airline prepares to inaugurate services, first to Jakarta and the Maldives, and then later in the year to Australia, other points in Asia, and the Middle East.
