The Pricing Department of Jiangsu Province will strictly control the ticket prices at scenic spots in the province starting in 2007.

Following the policies elaborated by the China National Development and Reform Commission, Jiangsu Provincial Government will require all the scenic spots in the province to create a door ticket price report system to prevent the rapid increase of pricing.

The department requires that from January 1 of 2007, all the scenic spots whose door ticket is high than RMB50 per person shall only increase their price by 30%. If they wish to increase by more than 30%, they must first issue a pricing report and reasons for the increase.

In addition, the pricing department will create a price record system so that they can monitor all of the local travel information and strengthen their management for ticket prices.
