Crowne Plaza Fudan Shanghai has appointed Rodney Young as the hotel's new Executive Chef.

Young, a New Zealand national of Chinese heritage, began his culinary career in his home town of Dunedin in the south of New Zealand where he trained as a Chef at Otago Polytech. After working in Dunedin and Christchurch he headed overseas and has since worked in London, Hong Kong, Brunei, and Taiwan then to Suzhou, and most recently at the new InterContinental Hotels project at the recently opened Holiday Inn Century City Hotel in Chengdu.

Young has extensive experience in both Western and Asian cuisines and is an expert at blending them together, especially using his New Zealand flair of using the freshest and most natural produce available.
