The Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company says that they have arranged professional Tibetan and English language speakers as attendants on the trains in order to improve the overall service quality.

Xu Shuangyong, deputy general manager of Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company, says that they already employed 12 attendants who are skilled in Tibetan and English for the trains on Qinghai-Tibet Railway because there are many foreign tourists and Tibetans traveling on this line. And after one month's training, these attendants, all of whom are less than 26 years old and have adapted to the high altitude environment, have started their work.

Actually, before the launch of the railway, the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company had offered Tibetan and English training for all of their attendants. But because most attendants on the trains can only conduct basic dialogues in these two languages, the company has moved to put more seasoned linguists on the trains.
