Because the number of gateways are limited at Shanghai's Pudong International Airport, it has been a great trouble for passengers to go through Pudong Airport, especially for those who need to go out of the country. However this will hopefully all soon change.

Starting this Spring Festival, the situation will be improved: 22 new gateways will be added to the airport.

This will allow 3840 people/hour to enter the airport.

Shanghai has two major airports, Hongqiao and Pudong, respectively. However Pudong Airport deals with the international travel in and out of Shanghai.
