Accor co-founder Paul Dubrule last week visited new Sofitel hotels currently being built in two unique districts of China's emerging commercial capital of Nanjing.

Mr Dubrule led an Accor delegation visiting Nanjing to sign management agreements for the hotels, highlighting the importance China holds to the group's future expansion. The Sofitel Galaxy Nanjing in the city centre and the Sofitel Zhongshan Golf and Resort in the city's Zhongshan district gives Accor a solid presence in one of China's fastest growing cities.

The latest additions are part of a comprehensive and rapidly growing network of 19 Sofitels in China, as it quickly becomes the country's largest and most recognisable luxury hotel brand.

Accor Managing Director Asia Pacific, Michael Issenberg, said Mr Dubrule's participation in the Nanjing delegation shows how important the city is to Accor's hotel network, and the emphasis he puts on hotel development in China.
