Shangri-La's Kerry Centre Hotel in Beijing has appointed a new Director of Events Management and a new Director of Sales.

Ruby Loo Yuen Nah has been appointed Director of Events Management of Shangri-La's Kerry Centre Hotel as of May 1, 2005, to succeed Irene Kwan, who has been appointed as Director of Sales in charge of the hotels business development.

Ruby Loo, a Singaporean, joined Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore where she spent two years as Senior Catering Sales Manager, before moving to Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore as Director of Catering Sales in its pre-opening task force. With extensive product knowledge coupled with creative ideas for setups and a solid history of sales success, Ruby will lead her team to continue set a benchmark in Beijing to deliver the dedicated superior levels of service for any events from small meetings to global conferences to the most creative themed parties.

Irene Kwan from Hong Kong, a veteran with Shangri-La for 15 years, joined The Kerry since September 2002 from the prestigious Aberdeen Marina Club in Hong Kong. In her new role as Director of Sales, Irene will focus her energy in areas of coaching sales managers, providing excellent customer service and driving revenue maximization in all areas.
