Israel has gained Approved Destination Status (ADS) from the Chinese government, said Xinhua quoting sources with the China National Tourism Administration.

Nadav Eshcar, the spokesman of Israeli embassy in Beijing, told Xinhua he hoped more Chinese tourists can visit his nation in the near future.

Israel applied for ADS since 2001. China and Israel still must negotiate on details such as visa procedure before travel services can organize groups.
