Qantas announced it would add a fourth weekly service to Shanghai from November. Qantas Head of Sales and Marketing Rob Gurney announced the additional international service during the Australian Tourism Exchange held in Perth.
We are pleased to announce additional flights to our existing network of international destinations and grow our international capacity. The introduction of a fourth Shanghai service follows the successful launch of three weekly non-stop services from Shanghai in December 2004. Our fourth service will operate on Saturdays from 5 November and provide almost 300 additional seats between Australia and China, Gurney said.
Qantas two-class Airbus A330-300 aircraft operate flights on the Shanghai route.
