Regal Hotel International, which has five hotels in Hong Kong, has now decided to invest more in the mainland market.

Yesterday, HK Regal Hotels and HK Palibury Group made a joint declaration that Regal Hotels would purchase 50% of shares of Hangfok, a member of Palibury Group which holds 23% interest of a hotel project in Beijing. It is still unclear with hotel and where in Beijing this is located.

At present, Regal Hotel is managing seven 5-star hotels, besides the five in Hong Kong. This includes two hotels in Shanghai–the Regal International East Asia Hotel and the Regal Shanghai East Asia Hotel.
