Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS), has made an important new appointment to its senior management team in Asia by making Iwan Spillebeen the new Operations Director.

Spillebeen will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Mark Rizzuto, Managing Director, Asia, Cendant TDS.

Spillebeen will be responsible for developing, communicating and implementing operational strategies to enhance the value proposition offered to Cendant's customers in Asia. He will also ensure that the service provisions of National Distribution Company (NDC) partner agreements are met by the regional office.

Most recently, Spillebeen served as Senior Vice President / COO for 6 years Galaxy Distribution System where he was responsible for the company's global technology development, user and sales support, system maintenance, strategic planning, coordinating operations, training as well as assisting with the marketing activities of over 30 National Marketing Companies representing Galaxy in over 80 territories world-wide. Spillebeen has been working in the sales and service industry for over 15 years and prior to joining Galaxy in 1999, he worked at the Skala Division of Thorn NV, Belgium, as Regional Sales Supervisor.

Spillebeen has a Business Management and Accounting qualification from CMO Antwerp and has extensive computer hardware and software knowledge. He is fluent in Dutch, English and French.
