China will today start adopting a newly amended international air transportation rule that allows for compensation for injuries and delays on China's aircraft.

The rules approved by CAAC dictate passengers can expect US$135,000 compensation when injured on a plane and up to US$5000 for delayed flights.

Passengers' goods are also protected. They can receive a maximum of US$1000 for lost luggage.
