A one-day conference on expansion of tourism cooperation between Iran and China was held last Friday. The decision on holding the seminar was made after China agreed to introduce Iran to Chinese tourists as a tourist destination.
The conference was jointly sponsored by Iran's Embassy and the cultural attache office in Beijing and a few private Iranian travel agencies.
The event was attended by a number of tourism experts from private and state sectors of the two countries.
Iranian Ambassador to China Fereydoun Verdi-Nejad and several other Chinese and Iranian officials addressed the inaugural ceremony of the conference.
During the conference, Iranian and Chinese officials in charge of tourism discussed Iran's tourist facilities and the prerequisites for admission of foreign tourists, in particular those from China.
