Hong Kong's Ocean Park has announced plans to invest HK$5.5 billion to expand after rival Disneyworld opened last week.

The expansion project will be started next year and completed by 2010.

The entertainment venues in the park will be doubled, with 70 spots displaying natural environments for the visitors.

Hong Kong Ocean Park has a 28-year history. It attracted more than 4 million visitors last year, and half of them were from the mainland China.
