InterContinental is working with Henan-based Zhongzhou International Group to expand the Express by Holiday Inn brand in China.

The two sides signed a cooperation agreement on October 16.

Under the agreement, InterContinental and Zhongzhou International Group will co-fund and manage a company which is to be controlled by Zhongzhou International Group to be responsible for the promotion of InterContinental's Express By Holiday Inn in China.

InterContinental will undertake a great part of the investment to facilitate the implementation of their cooperation plan. The exact investment figures have not been released.
