The Sanya Railway Station will be moved out of the urban area in an effort to remove hidden trouble for traffic and save more space for scenic spots around its Hainan area.

The Ministry of Railway, Guangdong Railway Group, Hainan Provincial Government and Sanya Municipality have reached a preliminary understanding on the adjustment plan.

The construction of the new railway station will be completed by May Holiday next year when a train will be run between Sanya and Beijing, Sanya and Shanghai, and Sanya and Guangzhou each day.
