New data shows that Chinese tourists spend an average of US$235 million per month overseas and Germany has become the most popular shopping destination for overseas Chinese visitors.
The data came form Global Data, who presented it during this past weekend's Second China Overseas Travel International Forum held at the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel in Beijing.
Global Refund's data shows that from September 2004 until September 2005, Chinese tourists spent as much as US$60 million in Germany and their spending was mostly made on clothing, jewelry and watches.
