Local media report that the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) plans to re-adjust its development strategy for the three travel markets of inbound travel, outbound travel and domestic travel.

China will continue to make inbound travel a development focus of the country's tourism industry, strengthening and improving the promotion of its overall image and maneuvering concerned parties' initiatives in participating in the promotion. The CNTA will plan a series of promotions surrounding the 2008 Olympics and Shanghai World Exposition in 2010.

For outbound travel, China has decided to follow-up with the overseas travel tourist destinations that have been opened to Chinese citizens, establish bilateral coordination relationship with concerned countries and formulate crisis and emergency response systems related to outbound travel.

For domestic tourism, China will enhance the tourism infrastructure and improve its management levels and various public mechanisms so as to better serve tourists from both home and abroad.
