China's airlines are launching a series of chartered flights between Russia and Hainan with more Russian tourists coming to visit China's southernmost Province.
From December 28, China Southern will launch four travel charter flights per week between Moscow and Sanya, and China Eastern will also open travel charter flights for the lines of Moscow-Sanya and Moscow-Haikou at the beginning of next year to receive Russian tourists who are eager to evade the harsh winter season in their country.
The Sanya Tourism Department has also sent a travel promotion group in the past few weeks to promote Sanya's travel resources in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
In recent years, Sanya has become one of the main travel destinations for Russian tourists. Take this year as an example, from January to October, 231% more Russian tourists visited Sanya compared with the same period of last year. It is estimated that Sanya will receive more than 40,000 Russian tourists this year as a whole.
