The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) says that it will soon approve operation of two more private airlines: Dazhong Airlines and Kunming Airlines.

Dazhong Airlines has a registered capital of RMB80 million, 80% of which has been invested by subsidiary companies of China Phaeton Group, and the remaining 20% by Beijing Lintai Technology Development Co., Ltd. Dazhong Airlines plans to use Bombardier planes for its domestic lines based at Shijiazhuang Airport in Hebei Province.

Kunming Airlines also has a registered capital of RMB80 million. It plans to be based at Wujiaba Airport in Kunming.

Until now, the private airlines that have been approved by CAAC include Dazhong Airlines, Kunming Airlines, East Star, East Express, Okay Airways, Spring Airlines and United Eagle Airlines.
