With 20 new hotels predicted by 2008, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has announced new appointments and established new area manager positions reporting to recently appointed corporate vice presidents.

Philippe Caretti is appointed vice president and will continue to be based in Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai where he is currently the area manager. In his new role, he will also be supervising Shangri-La Hotel, Hangzhou and Shangri-La Hotel, Shenzhen.
