Nearly a thousand tourists have been on organized trips to Europe, and many are now returning citing a range of problems encountered during their vacation.
The most frequent complaints concern the behavior of the organizers themselves. In many cases, the tour guides were accused of marking-up the price of elements on the program for their own benefit – such as the guide saying that a 95EUR ticket for the Moulin Rouge will cost 130EUR. Similarly, guides frequently demanded that visitors pay for all elements of the trip in advance, including asking for a tip covering all 14 days on the first day of their arrival in Europe.
More generally, visitors professed to have experienced difficulties at duty-free shops, reporting that several shops at which customers can get their tax refunded directly after shopping did not know the exact tax rate.
