The completed construction of the Nidadang Bridge (the first bridge built across the Nu River in Yunnan province) marks the opening of the most convenient road to Tibet – the Bingcha Road.
The road starts from Bingzhonglou Village in Yunnan, and ends at Chawalong Village in Tibet, a total length of 87km.
In contrast to the four other roads, which usually cannot be used during the snowy season (almost 4 months every year), the Bingcha Road is available the whole year round because it is lower than sea level.
