Hong Kong Approves Fuel Surcharge Increases For Two Airlines
The Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department has given approval for the increase of passenger fuel surcharges levied by Cathay Pacific Airways and Singapore Airlines for the period from August 1, 2009, to September 30, 2009.

The Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department has announced that six Hong Kong airlines including Cathay Pacific Airways have approval to reduce their surcharges on passenger routes in the period from October 1 through November 30, 2008.

Due to continuously rising oil prices, the Civil Aviation Department of Hong Kong has given formal approval to 13 airlines to maintain or increase surcharges on passenger transportation from June 1, 2008.
