Macau: Hotel Room Occupancy Dropped By 2.7% In 2008

Statistics from the Macau Statistics and Census Service show that despite an increase in tourist arrivals the average hotel room occupancy of Macau was 74.5% in 2008, down 2.7% compared to the previous year.

China has set goals for its tourism development in 2009 and aims at receiving 1.85 billion tourists for domestic travel, 50 million for outbound travel, 132 million tourists for inbound travel and a total tourism income of CNY1.23 trillion.
