Hotel Rates In Chinese Tour Cities Increase For Holiday Season

As Christmas Day and New Year holidays approach, hotel rates in many tour cities in China have begun to increase by different degrees.

Due to the 7th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition held from November 4 through November 9 in Zhuhai, the rates of hotels in Zhuhai increased by about 50%.

Rates At Beijing Star-grade Hotels Decrease By 6%

Xiong Yumei, vice director of Beijing Tourism Bureau, said in a press conference held in the Beijing International Media Center that the booking volume of star-grade hotels in Beijing increased by 1% but rates went down six percentage points from the end of May 2008.
