With an average speed of 350 km\/h, it will only take three hours to go between the two destinations&#8211; much less than the former ten hours.<\/p>\n<p>Construction commenced in June 2005 as an important part of the Beijing to Guangzhou high-speed line in the China's railway network plan. The route crosses Hubei, Hunan, and Guangdong provinces, with a total of 15 stations, including Xianning, Yueyang, Changsha, Hengyang, Zhuzhou, and Chenzhou.
