{"id":18017,"date":"2010-10-19T08:33:35","date_gmt":"2010-10-19T00:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/en\/?p=18017"},"modified":"2010-10-19T08:33:35","modified_gmt":"2010-10-19T00:33:35","slug":"shanghai-disneyland-to-start-construction-in-november","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2010\/10\/19\/18017\/","title":{"rendered":"Shanghai Disneyland To Start Construction In November"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to reports in the Chinese media, construction on the Shanghai Disneyland Resort is expected to kick off in November 2010, following the closure of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first phase of the project will include a theme park and supporting facilities and will span four square kilometers with the theme park covering one square kilometer.<\/p>\n<p>The project is expected to take five to six years to finish.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2009, the municipal government of Shanghai obtained approval from the National Development and Reform Commission to build the Disneyland  Resort in the city.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2010, Shanghai Disneyland's Chinese partner, Shanghai Shendi Shendi Group Corporation, was established.
