{"id":30441,"date":"2004-06-11T02:00:47","date_gmt":"2004-06-10T18:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/2004\/06\/11\/nepal-going-regional\/"},"modified":"2004-06-11T02:00:47","modified_gmt":"2004-06-10T18:00:47","slug":"nepal-going-regional","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2004\/06\/11\/30441\/","title":{"rendered":"Nepal Going Regional"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nepal Tourism Board participated in a Road Show in Beijing on June 9 and in Chengdu on June 11, 2004 as a part of regional tourism promotion of Nepal, and Air China is supporting as the Partner Airline.<\/p>\n<p><a><\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"204\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/images\/200406-nepaltourism-fishlight.gif\" width=\"150\" align=\"right\">The Nepalese delegation led by Mr. Sharada Prasad Trital- Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and NTB official Mr. Kashi Raj Bhandari,&amp;nbsp; has five tourism companies from Nepal.&amp;nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Since China is the neighboring country of Nepal and a strong emerging economy with a sizeable amount of outbound market, Nepal is hoping to tapping the market to its benefit. Tourism is the mainstay of the economy and His Majesty's Government of Nepal has been according a top priority for promoting tourism in the region.<\/p>\n<p>There are 13 international airlines flying to Nepal and Air China is directly flying to Nepal twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday from Chengdu to Kathmandu (flying time 4 hrs and 30 minutes). NTB has already appointed Public Relation Representative in Beijing&amp;nbsp; which provides information about travel and tourism into Nepal. <\/p>\n<p>Chinese tourists to Nepal are provided free visas on arrival and there has been a remarkable growth of Chinese tourists to Nepal for the last four months with a sharp rise in the month of May, 2004. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier NTB held a Press Conference inn February at the Swissotel, Beijing and a Photo Exhibition under the theme 'Many Faces of Nepal' and also led Nepal's participation at the World Travel Fair in Shanghai.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nepal Tourism Board participated in a Road Show in Beijing on June 9 and in Chengdu on June 11, 2004 as a part of regional tourism promotion of Nepal, and Air China is supporting as the Partner Airline.
