At the recent Tianjin Tourism Working Conference, the director of the Tianjin Municipal Tourism Administration launched the \"12521\" goal for the tourism industry in 2010.<\/p>\n
The term 12521 separately refers to following goals: holding the second China Tourism Industries Festival; building 20 big projects; creating five special tourism brands including a new Tianjin tour, a Haihe River tour, a Binhai New Area tour, a rural attractions tour, and the core tourism brand \"Visit Tianjin to Know Modern China\"; building and promoting 20 five-star hotels; introducing and supporting ten tourism groups including Tianjin Tourism Corporation, TEDA Group, OCT Group, and Haichang Group.<\/p>\n
In addition, Tianjin will build a tourism industrial park and a tourism commodities trading center in Binhai New Area or counties with rich tourism resources, and introduce foreign duty-free stores so citizens can buy tourism commodities from other countries in Tianjin.<\/p>\n
It is estimated that in 2010, Tianjin will receive 1.66 million overseas tourists and foreign exchange earnings from tourism will reach CNY1.42 billion; the number of domestic tourists will reach 92 million, and total tourism revenues will reach CNY115 billion.
