{"id":30834,"date":"2010-03-19T05:33:37","date_gmt":"2010-03-18T21:33:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/en\/?p=15633"},"modified":"2010-03-19T05:33:37","modified_gmt":"2010-03-18T21:33:37","slug":"marriott-international-plans-two-more-hotels-for-tianjin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2010\/03\/19\/30834\/","title":{"rendered":"Marriott International Plans Two More Hotels For Tianjin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marriott International plans to open its third Renaissance-branded hotel and first Marriott Executive Apartments property for extended stay travelers in Tianjin, China later this year, under a management agreement with Tianjin Tianbin Real Estate Development Company.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The two hotels are the 368-room Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel and the 96-unit The Lakeview, Tianjin&#8211;Marriott Executive Apartments. They will share the same lakefront building in Tianjin\u2019s Hexi District close to night life, high-end shopping, and the offices of major financial institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Ed Fuller, the president and managing director of international lodging for Marriott, commented that Tianjin has evolved into an important high-tech and financial center in China and is home to a significant ex-pat community who will appreciate the availability of the first Marriott Executive Apartments in the city.<\/p>\n<p>For social events and conferences, the hotel will have 2,750 square meters of function space including a 1,500-square-meter ballroom that will be divisible into three sections, a 400-square-meter junior ballroom capable of being divided in two, and three additional meetings rooms in varying configurations, all of which will be divisible into two sections each.<\/p>\n<p>The Lakeview, Tianjin&#8211;Marriott Executive Apartments will offer a range of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, all of which will be fully furnished and include a fully-equipped kitchen; an in-unit laundry and safe; a flat screen, high definition television; and high-speed Internet access.<\/p>\n<p>While residents will be able to use the recreational and dining options at the Renaissance hotel, they will have a dedicated restaurant and lounge of their own for breakfast as well as an on-premise sundry and delicatessen shop. Other amenities will include, a multi-purpose game room, a children\u2019s playroom, room service and on-property resident storage room.<\/p>\n<p>The Marriott International portfolio in Tianjin currently consists of the 280-room Renaissance Tianjin and the 284-room Renaissance Tianjin TEDA.
