In addition, Xiamen Airport also plans to renovate its old terminal building to be a formal budget terminal.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Xiamen Airport is reportedly the airport with the largest number of no-frills airlines around China. Besides local no-frills airlines Spring Airlines has opened a low price route from Shanghai to Xiamen, Singapore's Tiger Airways and the Philippines' Cebu Pacific have launched routes from Xiamen to Singapore and from Xiamen to Manila, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Following this, the airport will attract several no-frills airlines from Indonesia, the Philippines and Australia to set-up there.
