Fujian plans to build Dongshan Island into an international tourism island.<\/p>\n
To fulfill this development goal established in November 2007, Dongshan county has attracted a series of large tourism investment projects. At present, these are a forum project with a planned investment of CNY2.5 billion, a coastal hot spring with an investment of CNY500 million, and an international resort area with an investment of CNY3 billion.<\/p>\n
Four more hotel projects, including two built to five-star standard and another two to four-star standards, are expected to start construction by the second half of this year.<\/p>\n
In addition, Dongshan has formed a series of boutique tour itineraries such as the Seaside Tour and the Taiwan Tour, both of which are listed in the top ten itineraries in Fujian; the \"Straits Forum\" project has also became one of ten major tourism projects in Fujian's eleventh five year plan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
