Of the total inbound tourists received, 225000 were foreign nationals, increasing by 7.9%; 28000 were Hong Kong residents, up 19.1%; 800 were Macao residents, declining by 49.8% over the same period of last year; and 12000 were Taiwan residents, up 6.6%.<\/p>\n<p>In December last year, Beijing's star-rated hotels received 1.004 million domestic travelers, which was an increase of 1.3% over the same period of 2005.<\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Beijing received totally 3.9 million inbound tourists, increasing by 7.5%, of which 3.38 million were foreign nationals, increasing by 8.6%; 303000 were from Hong Kong, down 3.5%; 7000 were from Macao, decreasing by 45.4%; 210,000 were from Taiwan, increasing by 13%.
