Schmed comes from Switzerland and has almost twenty years of hospitality industry experience particularly in operation management. Spending considerable time in China, Schmed also has gained many achievements during his tenure&#8211;he is well versed in elocution and languages in English, French, German, basic Mandarin other than his mother tongue Italian.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/070425-interconcq-poepper.gif\" title=\"Ilja Poepper\" alt=\"Ilja Poepper\" align=\"right\" \/>Ilja Poepper is the new resident manager at the hotel. A native German with fluent English and Mandarin, Poepper will oversee the sales and marketing, food and beverage and other revenue-generating departments. He started his hospitality career with Steigenberger Hotels in Germany in 1995 and worked his way up in Europe and China mainly with IHG Group.
