He joined Mandarin Oriental in 1994, as executive chef at The Oriental, Singapore, where he rose rapidly through the ranks to become director of food and beverage. He then moved to Indonesia as general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Surabaya where he led the team on property for three and a half years.  Prior to his move to Sanya, he was hotel manager of The Excelsior Hotel in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/071017-mandarinorientalsanya-guo.gif\" title=\"David Guo\" alt=\"David Guo\" align=\"right\" \/>David Guo, a Beijing native, has been appointed as director of sales and marketing of the Mandarin Oriental, Sanya. Guo joined the Mandarin Oriental, Sanya as part of the hotel pre-opening team in July 2006 and he will be fully responsible for the hotel's sales and marketing, revenue and communications.
