{"id":33105,"date":"2006-01-24T22:54:43","date_gmt":"2006-01-24T14:54:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/2006\/01\/24\/shangri-la-asia-expands-with-first-european-hotel\/"},"modified":"2006-01-24T22:54:43","modified_gmt":"2006-01-24T14:54:43","slug":"shangri-la-asia-expands-with-first-european-hotel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2006\/01\/24\/33105\/","title":{"rendered":"Shangri-La Asia Expands With First European Hotel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"60\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/images\/shangrilagroup_logo_120x60.gif\" width=\"120\" align=\"right\">Shangri-La Asia, parent company of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, has acquired the historic palais of Prince Roland Bonaparte with plans to convert it to the Shangri-La Hotel, Paris in late 2008, marking the group's European debut.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Bonaparte family mansion in Paris' 16th arrondissement will be converted into the capital's first luxury hotel fully owned and operated by an Asian hotel group.<\/p>\n<p>Located at 10, avenue d'Iena, near the Trocadero, the building offers some of the city's finest views of the River Seine and the Eiffel Tower, which is a 15-minute walk away. The Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe are also within walking distance.
