{"id":33393,"date":"2006-04-29T03:04:04","date_gmt":"2006-04-28T19:04:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/2006\/04\/29\/chinese-hotels-face-new-assessment\/"},"modified":"2006-04-29T03:04:04","modified_gmt":"2006-04-28T19:04:04","slug":"chinese-hotels-face-new-assessment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/2006\/04\/29\/33393\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese Hotels Face New Assessment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To maintain the transparency of the standards in assessing star-grade hotels, China's National Star-Grade Hotel Assessment Commission will conduct a new review starting next month.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The review will focus only on star-grade hotels that have retained their star grade for more than five years.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission says that it will order those star-grade holders that have deficiencies to correct their problems or they will be downgraded.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time that the Commission has decided to re-evaluate the quality of hotels that hold the qualification for more than five years.<\/p>\n<p>There are more than 12,000 star-grade hotels in China, and 279 of them are 5-star hotels.
