American-based Gusto.com, a new community-based travel Web site that connects travelers with each other and with relevant travel information, announced a series of senior executive appointments.<\/p>\n
The company has appointed Mike Englehart as chief technology officer, Whit Ehrler, as chief financial officer, Michael Bauer as chief operations officer and Noah Dorrance, executive producer.
\n\"Whit, Mike, Michael and Noah were instrumental in the development of TravelNow.com, our first successful Web venture,\" said Jeff Wasson, Gusto's CEO. \"This founding team of talented professionals has been widely recognized by our partners, investors and community as the driving force behind our success. The group has come together again to spearhead the development and operation of Gusto.com.\"<\/p>\n
Whit Ehrler, Gusto's CFO, was TravelNow.com's CFO from 1999 to 2001. Ehrler is a successful public company financial executive with more than 20 years of top-level corporate experience. His expertise in public company financial management extends to financial reporting, start-up operations, cash management, debt and equity financing, mergers\/acquisitions, financial analysis, divestitures, operating turnarounds and information systems.<\/p>\n
Mike Engelhart, Gusto's CTO, was a senior developer at TravelNow.com where, in 1998, he created Web-based booking technology that helped propel the travel site to success. Mike began his career in travel technology as a senior developer in Apple Computer's corporate travel department where he specialized in developing travel automation\/authorization systems.<\/p>\n
Michael Bauer, Gusto's COO, was most recently a senior vice president at Hotels.com in Dallas, Texas, overseeing Affiliate Marketing, Vacations Rentals and International Development. Previously, Michael was the chief operating officer for TravelNow.com.<\/p>\n
Noah Dorrance, Gusto's executive producer, has a long history in the online travel industry. From 1998-2001, Noah was instrumental in driving the successful development of TravelNow.com's affiliate model. From 2002-2004, Noah served as the director of business development for Hotels.com throughout Europe where he achieved broad acceptance of Hotels.com by developing strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
