A British national and seasoned hotelier, Nick Eeles brings with him a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry having held executive positions for several luxury brand operators, initially in the UK and for the past 26 years on an expatriate status throughout Africa, Middle East and South East Asia. Eeles' association with Kempinski Hotels commenced in Indonesia and, more recently, for the past 4 years at the Kempinski managed property in Shanghai prior to his present assignment at the helm of the Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"Zhang Jian\" id=\"image1766\" title=\"Zhang Jian\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/060703-kempinskishenzhen-jian.gif\" \/> The new Deputy General Manager at Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen is Zhang Jian. With thirteen years of experience in hotel management, Zhang Jian, who hails from Beijing, commenced his career in France with the Accor group and, upon returning to China, held a senior management position at the Beijing Peace Hotel. Prior to joining the Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen Zhang was the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of Beijing Tourism Group for the past three years.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"Michael Gnaegi\" id=\"image1767\" title=\"Michael Gnaegi\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/060703-kempinskishenzhen-gnaegi.gif\" \/> Michael Gnaegi is the new EAM for Food and Beverage at the Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen. A Swiss National, he began his career in the Food and Beverage field in 1993. Gnaegi graduated from the Lausanne Hotel Management School in Switzerland and then developed his career in the hospitality industry through a variety of positions. During the past 10 years he has held senior management positions with several leading hotel management companies, including Four Seasons, in China, United Arab Emirates, USA and Germany.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"Joseph Chan\" id=\"image1768\" title=\"Joseph Chan\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/060703-kempinskishenzhen-chan.gif\" \/> Joseph Chan is Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen's new Financial Controller. Chan has an impressive track record in financial management in the hospitality industry spanning some thirty years. Commencing his career in his home country, Singapore, Chan first came to China in 1989 working for Shangri-la Hotels, and then joined the opening team of the Kempinski flagship in China, the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center, as Deputy Director of Finance in 1991. Prior to joining Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen Chan was the Director of Finance at Ritz Events Asia Beijing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"Agnes Lee\" id=\"image1769\" title=\"Agnes Lee\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/060703-kempinskishenzhen-lee.gif\" \/> Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen has picked Agnes Lee for the Director of Sales and Marketing position. Lee is a Malaysian national who graduated with a degree in Business Administration. She has been actively involved in the hotel industry since 1988, primarily in the field of Sales and Marketing. Her career has seen her working in Malaysia with Holiday Inn Asia Pacific, and in 1990 accepted her first assignment in China in Xi'an, followed by Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"Romulo Balbin\" id=\"image1770\" title=\"Romulo Balbin\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/060703-kempinskishenzhen-balbin.gif\" \/> Romulo Balbin will be filling the position of Director of Human Resources at Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen. Balbin is Filipino who has made China his permanent home after working and living in China for 30 years. He has 25 years experience in the hospitality industry gained from groups like Sheraton and Intercontinental. He has served as Training\/Human Resources Director and opened 5 hotels in China and Maldives.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"Martin Schaumburg\" id=\"image1771\" title=\"Martin Schaumburg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/060703-kempinskishenzhen-schaumberger.gif\" \/> Martin Schaumburg will be the new Executive Chef at Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen. Schaumburg, who hails from Germany, has pursued his career in the culinary arts during the past fifteen years in the kitchens of several Leading Hotels of the World. Having graduated as a Master Chef from the Hotel Management School in Heidelberg, Germany, Martin commenced his working career in his home country before taking on a new challenges overseas including in the United Kingdom at one of London's finest hotels and, more recently, with Westin Hotels in Korea.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"Joseph Fung\" id=\"image1772\" title=\"Joseph Fung\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/060703-kempinskishenzhen-fung.gif\" \/> A hospitality industry professional for the past 17 years, Joseph Fung is the  Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen's new Director of Rooms. With a Masters Degree in Hotel Management, Fung has pursued an impressive career to date with several luxury brand operators including Shangri-La Hotels &#038; Resorts and Intercontinental in several primary cities in Canada and China before commencing his current position as Director of Rooms at the Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"right\" alt=\"Jason Li\" id=\"image1773\" title=\"Jason Li\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chinahospitalitynews.com\/cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/060703-kempinskishenzhen-li.gif\" \/> Kempinski Hotel Shenzhen's new Director of Engineering will be Jason Li. Having attained a Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Li commenced his career supervising the mechanical and electrical installations for office and apartment projects before his first exposure to hotel projects in 1994 when he took on the post as Assistant Engineer during the pre-opening phase of the Shangri-La Changchun.
